STAGE ACTING SKILLS
The Part–time Foundation Drama courses aim to give you more confidence in yourself as an actor or presenter. You will study voice and movement, presentation, and acting skills for the Stage.
No Audition is required for these courses, and there is no upper age limit.

SCREEN ACTING

The course includes: understanding cameras, shot size, angles, lighting, the roles of crew on set, the equipment, the lingo and the way the screen industries work, giving students a basic understanding of the screen industry, so that they are not intimidated by it.
The students are on screen as much as possible to get used to being in front of a camera, so that they can also watch themselves back and objectively analyze their performances with the tutor. The course will also include: practice casting - sessions, taking direction, cheating-to-camera, hitting marks, learning lines, timekeeping, as well as learning how to promote oneself as an actor.

TV ACTING & PRESENTING MASTER CLASS WORKSHOP
Our comprehensive 1 - 2 or 3-day TV Acting and Presenters Master class includes everything that you need to know about acting and presenting for camera. A video camera will be used throughout.
The acting techniques explored will be for: a Soap Opera, for Adverts, for TV Drama, for Films, as well as Presenting for MTV, for Daytime TV, for News Programmes, and for Chat Shows.
Fees: 1 day = £ 190 - 2 days = £ 300 - 3 days = £ 450

Some classes will make use of our in-house video-recording facilities. Please wear: loose, casual clothes, plimsolls or jazz shoes, and bring: a notebook and pen with you, as well as a packed lunch; hot and cold drinks are available
SCREEN ACTING TUTORS
Keir Burrows is a freelance lecturer and filmmaker. Besides the London Drama Sschool, he lectures at the Central School of Speech & Drama and the New York Film Academy where he also ran the edit suite and studied for his Diploma. He has edited short films for the BBC and produces show reels for graduating students. He has been involved with films, music videos, commercials and streaming media for several years
Jeff Moody is a presenter who has worked for ITN, Liquid News, and "Wish You Were Here" and who currently presents the weather on Channel 5.
Michael D'Cruze, is an actor and a casting director, with experience on "The Bill", "Casualty", "Doctors", as well as several adverts both for Radio and TV.
Glen McCready is an actor whose presenting experience includes: corporate videos, TV and Film commercials, including contributions to BBC Radio 5 Live.
They provide advice on audition technique and on developing the crucial ability of treating the camera more like a best friend and less like a firing squad!
