ENGLISH - EFL - COURSE MODULE
English Course Aims and Structure
ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSE MODULE SAMPLE TIMETABLESOur English (EFL) language course (Ref. KET) consists of 4 hours of studies per week. It is available from Intermediate Plus to Advanced, and includes some preparation for the Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) examination.
The English language course provides complete language support for our Drama courses, as well as some preparation for all our the papers of the Cambridge University Examination: Paper 1 (Reading Comprehension), Paper 2 (Composition), Paper 3 (Use of English), Paper 4 (Listening Comprehension), and Paper 5 (Interview).
To that effect the course is divided into different modules:
Language Structures * , where you learn and improve your English grammar, English vocabulary and English usage, preparing for ALL Papers, in particular Papers 1 (Composition), 2 (Reading Comprehension), and 3 (English in use) of the Cambridge University Examinations.
Intensive Speaking Practice, where you practise orally what you have learnt in Language Structures. This will include intensive Speech-Training (Pronunciation and Intonation exercises), as well as Role-plays, preparing intensively for Paper 5 (Speaking)of the Cambridge University Examinations.
Intensive Listening Practice, where you learn to understand recorded messages, instructions and public announcements, preparing intensively for Paper 4 (Listening comprehension)of the Cambridge University Examinations,
as well as help with the
Comprehension and pronunciation of Drama Students' scripts and speeches.
