Summer Drama and Optional English (EFL) Courses

 

COURSES (Ref. ISD /EFL)

" Do you have what it takes to be an actor? "

The LONDON DRAMA SCHOOL, together with INCISOR, London Fringe Theatre & Film Company, have created a unique summer intensive Drama courses.  Students are taught by actors, directors, dancers, and singers who are currently working in the business and, therefore, get a true impression of what being an actor is really like!

Acting & Improvisation Course Ref. ISD1

This 3-week course gives students an insight into what it takes to be an actor.  Classes include: Voice, Movement, Singing, Dance, Theatre Sports, Physical Theatre, and Acting as well as Improvisation. Students will be encouraged to explore various methods of working and will discover different forms of expression.  Improvisation encourages the actor to be free and think on their feet.

Acting & Comedy Course Ref. ISD2

This 3-week course gives students an insight into what it takes to be a comic actor and stand-up comedian.  Classes include: Voice, Movement, Singing, Dance, Physical Theatre, and Acting. As well as Comedy, Clowning and Stand-up Comedy: students write and perform their own stand-up routines in class as well as learning about comic timing and physicality.

Acting & Screen Acting Course Ref. ISD3

This 3-week course gives students the tools to act for both Stage and Screen.  Classes include: Voice, Movement, Singing, Dance, Physical Theatre, and Acting.  As well as Screen Acting in which students learn the basic techniques and how they differ from Stage techniques.  From “Hitting your mark” to performing a scene from a Soap Opera or Film.

English (EFL) Option

Our English (EFL) language course (Ref. KET) consists of 4 hours of studies per week. It is available from Intermediate to Advanced Level. The course provides complete language support for our Drama courses as well as help with English Listening and Reading Comprehension, Usage and Grammar, and Pronunciation. The course is also designed to help students achieve a deeper understanding of English dialogues, scripts, and plays.

No audition is required for any of these courses.
