Film Summer Course

 

SHORT FILM COURSE 2013

Dates: 2nd - 13th September 2013

This course:
Students will devise a short script for a film through acting and improvisation classes.  A storyboard will be produced and then the film will be shot and edited by Amanda Sangorski.  All students will receive a copy of the film after the course.

Sarah Mann LTCL, Arts Ed. Dip is the Artistic Director of this course.  Sarah is a Trinity examiner, actress, producer and writer who studied at The Arts educational Schools, London.  Sarah co-founded Incisor Theatre Company in 1988 and has produced many productions for stage and screen.

Amanda Sangorski worked in television production for 25 years with on-screen talent as diverse as Jonathan Ross and Mr Blobby.  She won a British Comedy Award for her work with Graham Norton. She has directed luminaries such as Dustin Hoffman, Dennis Hopper and Liza Minelli, and once persuaded Joan Collins to sing live on BBC1.
Recently she has been making short promotional films for clients including ‘Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare’, an Animal Communicator and ‘Earth Wisdom’.

Her entry for the South Downs National Park short film competition starring her dog Buster won 3rd prize, and which sits proudly next to her British Comedy Award!

Both Jim and Natasha have extensive experience of devising and improvisation.  They have both directed and acted for many years as well as having their own plays produced at The Edinburgh Festival.

Course entry Requirements and enquiries:
We welcome enthusiastic beginners and foreign students on this course.
Minimum English level – intermediate.  Minimum age 16yrs.
Some evidence of past experience or enthusiasm for Drama, Movement or Singing

Course Fees: £810

Please note this course needs a minimum of 3 students to run and a maximum of 8 students to ensure a successful outcome.
